BERLIN – The biggest independent Android developer conference droidcon ended last Wednesday in Berlin. Up to 750 attendees per day had the choice between a record number of talks and numerous special offerings from the areas start-up, gaming and hacking.

Three weeks to go until droidcon, 75 plus talks on the agenda – and no chance to attend them all. Anyway, let’s sneak a little about what droidcon offers in terms of  new hardware:

The program of droidcon Berlin 2013 is out and once or twice a week we highlight some talks and present them to you. Here's the first round:

At multiple suggestion out of the developer community the call for papers for droidcon 2013 has been extended by two weeks: the new deadline is Friday, February 1. The reason is that thus more members of the Android community will have the opportunity to submit a paper. Presentation proposals can be submitted here.

Save the date: On april 7 - 10 the droidcon Berlin will start in the fifth season. And for the first time at the Kosmos Berlin in the heart of Germany´s capital city. Stay tuned for more info like ticketing and program details.

Android is the most popular mobile platform worldwide. The droidcon conference has influenced the Android ecosystem from the very early stages, that is since 2009. In April 2013 the community is invited to Berlin one more time.
